Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Graduate Engineer to contribute to our Municipal Infrastructure / Water Resources projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, DE.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the planning, modeling, analysis, and design of public works infrastructure projects (e.g.: wastewater collection conveyance systems, water distribution facilities, stormwater management facilities, roads, etc.).
• Perform land development plan reviews, prepare permit applications regulatory reports, assist with construction administration inspections, and provide other support to the water/wastewater and municipal market sectors.
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering); recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • FE / EIT (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully complete their FE within 6 months of their start date).Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working on Publics Works Infrastructure projects, especially with wet utilities (e.g.: wastewater collection conveyance systems, water distribution facilities, stormwater management facilities, roads, etc.) is a plus!
    • Experience working on greenfield / land development projects is a plus.
    • Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.); experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D as well as HydroCAD, OpenFlows StormCAD, OpenFlows WaterGEMS, OpenFlows SewerGEMS, ArcGIS, and/or HEC-RAS is a plus!
    • Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
    • Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
    • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal written).
