Experience with reverse engineering, prototyping, and R&D
machining is a must. Experience with Southwestern Industries mills
and lathes utilizing ProtoTRAK controls is a plus! This is a great

Machinist: Operates and maintains machine shop equipment We have
Southwestern Industries mills and lathes utilizing ProtoTRAK
controls Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to
ensure accurate production Takes precise measurements for cutting
or shaping Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given
task Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as
necessary Checks output for quality assurance and documents or
discards defects Maintains a safe and clean workstation Contributes
to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed R&D and
prototype small batch projects Support our Sheet Metal and Misc.
Metals shop needs Requirements/Qualifications – Lead Manual
Machinist: Experience in machining w/ steel, aluminum, and
stainless steel preferred Ability to follow work orders and work in
teams ProtoTRAK control experience a plus! Experience with
Southwestern knee mills and lathes a plus! Ability to read and
interpret designs/blueprints Ability to perform physical labor and
lift at least 50 pounds Ability to work standing for an 8-hour
shift Knowledge of various steels and alloys, NDE processes and
requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Valid
Driver’s license, required All qualified applicants will receive
