Collaboration Study SpecialistContracting Position OverviewThe Collaboration Study Specialist is the main point of contact for collaboration activities withhealthcare organizations and providers for the Laboratory Diagnostics (LD) business area in theUSA. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Specialist will work closely with trained managersin the LD business area as well as the company's Legal and Compliance experts in order toassist by supporting any related activities not currently handled by the Collaboration Managersand trouble-shooting issues that arise in the manager's execution of these activities. The positionwill be part of the global LD Collaboration team and will report locally to LD CollaborationManager.ResponsibilitiesAs the main point of contact for the execution of the collaborations process for the LD businessarea in the US, the Collaboration Study Specialist will focus on responsibilities, including but notlimited to the following:? Responsible to independently manage contractual and compliance aspects for assignedcollaborations? Carrying-out, and ensuring that collaboration activities within the US and globally followthe defined process for healthcare organizations and providers as described in therespective SHS internal global procedure and directive (1_D_103)? Cooperation with functions heavily involved in collaboration activities (e.g., ClinicalAffairs, Specimen Acquisition, Marketing, R&D, etc.)? Development up to execution of project agreements in close collaboration with Siemens'internal Legal and Compliance teams and engage other departments as needed.? Preparation of internal documents required to present projects for review and/or approvalto Collaboration team and the Collaboration Review boards.? Use of global electronic contract archive system to archive, monitor and maintain allcontract related documentation of assigned collaborations? Provide contract administration support to Collaboration Manager? Participates and contributes to areas of improvement within the collaboration process andimplements collaboration improvementsRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, and ExperienceA qualified candidate will have the following knowledge/skills, education, and experiences:Knowledge/Skills? Excellent independent and team working skills? Self-motivation to effectively prioritize work and follow up with internal/external customersto ensure timely initiation of collaborations? Multitasking and flexibility to address/advance urgent topics? Strong organizational skills? High attention to detail? Excellent oral and written communication and networking skills? Ability to integrate functional expertise with business knowledge to developoptimal solutions for complex problems? Quick comprehension and adjustment to updated processes, working environment andtools? Experience in negotiation agreements is beneficialEducationBS in biological or related science discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalentcombination of education and experience.Experience? Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to thesuccessful completion of complex assignments.? Successfully served as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledgefor area of expertise.? Demonstrated knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced andcontributes to problem resolution of those issues.? 5+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of KeyResponsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.Direction of OthersNoneKey Working RelationshipsActs as advisor to middle management and internal stakeholders on collaboration matters.
