Job Description:
J.P. Morgan Custody provides Institutional investors access to
markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset
servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as
Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. This product suite, along
with our Markets business, helps us service our core client
segments: Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Insurance/GSEs,
Banks/Broker Dealers and Hedge Funds and Alternatives. We are

opportunities in diverse global markets.The Custody Operations
Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations
for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time,
exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of
contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Custody
Operations covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail
management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts,
asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange,
collateral, derivatives lifecycle management & bank loans.This
position will report to the Global head of Custody Operations:
Client Instruction Capture and Settlements .
- Manage and oversee the US Settlements teams across Custody
Operations
- Reviewing and controlling of the daily operation, ensuring
adherence to procedures and controls and providing necessary data
to senior management and clients
- A cross product role that requires extensive interaction &
communication and working with various global internal teams as
required
- Face off the Product/Business, Client Service & internal teams
across the globe
- Establish and maintain relationships with all key internal
operations partners that support the Custody & Fund Services
business; partner with them to help streamline the core operations
processing through people, process & technology changes
- Partner with Product Development and Technology to help
automate/streamline operations processes which help enhance client
experience and build scalability into the business
- Follow J.P. Morgan's established processes and procedures
during daily work. Look to modify/iterate processes and procedures
constantly to improve accuracy, reduce redundancy and mitigate
risk
- Senior escalation contact for all Settlement issues across
Custody Operations
- Partner with Client Service across the regions, to help change
client behaviour where required
- Build key subject matter expertise in the team across equities,
fixed income, cash, foreign exchange, asset servicing, which will
provide value added services to clients
- Ability to develop and coach people across all levels in the
organization; responsible for location strategy & hiring
locally
- Ensuring end-to-end control environment and policy compliance
for their respective business area
- Driving consistency of control standards and programs across
regions and LOBs, Regions, Products, Locations, and across
Functions
- Lead / contribute to end-to-end process reviews
- Successful completion of business Risk and Control
Self-Assessments
- Management of the operations expense against financial
targets
- Manage the workflow through the life cycle of DTC Custody
Settlements
- Operational management and control of the daily workflow within
the DTC Settlements team
- Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and
ensure team structure is robust through effective training and
succession planning
- Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and
signed off, including client service inquiry resolution, cash and
stock break, and event management, as well as all key metrics are
produced as required
- Provide direction and leadership to the team
- Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring
staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the
organization
- Continued review of content and presentation of Standard
Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk
management activities
- Contribute to the strategic development of asset servicing
productsCore Abilities
- Excellent prior Custody , markets or prime brokerage
operational experience along with managing staff
- Ability to work closely with business partners and interact
with all staff levels
- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and
prioritize work
- Experience of working on large scale, multi-stream
programs

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking
