The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The HSE, Quality, Risk Management Director reports directly to the CEO of ALATUS and as such functions as the "right hand" person for all things related to HSE, Quality, Risk & IMS as well as special projects as directed by the CEO.

Although each BU within GM&T US may have a functional role in one or more of the areas of the Director's concern they do not report to the Director. It is, however, the responsibility of the Director to set the overall strategy and ensure implementation thereof to transition GM&T US into best-in-class in the areas of product & process quality, risk management and IMS implementation. The Director serves as the primary liaison to the GM&T WBU Safety & Risk Director.

In this role the Director has the opportunity to provide strategic direction and leadership regarding all aspects of Risk Management to the GM&T US businesses globally.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic leader within GM&T Americas by establishing team direction, schedules, and key objectives related to your perimeter.
  • The following duties & responsibilities are strategic in nature. The Director is responsible for setting, and in some cases executing, GM&T Americas-wide operating plans. He/she will also work in cooperation with Operations leaders to identify BU resources to implement the plans, as necessary.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S and lean methods.
  • Conducts internal audits, including creating audit reports, closing audit findings, and ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitors product and production process to ensure quality objectives are met. Develops methods for inspection, testing, and measurement.
  • Supports Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Creates, manages, maintains and updates inspection documentation.
  • Investigates quality issues to discover root causes. Carries out root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Makes recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Assists in the development of action plans for production, quality and operations employees that affect product quality, scrap reductions, downtime, and productivity.
  • Works with customers on Quality issues and projects.
  • Through her/his influence rather than reporting, lead a multisite organization that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvement working with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales.
  • Lead the strategic direction and initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and product quality.
  • Act as the liaison to GMT Global HSE and Risk staff, and be the main point of contact for compiling and communicating GMT-US-wide HSE performance statistics and initiatives
  • Special projects as directed by the CEO to include, but not limited to:
    • Audit action plan follow up
    • IMS Streamlining
    • Development and management of KPI Project

      Required Qualifications
      • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
      • 10+ years experience in manufacturing operations or the quality control thereof.
        Preferred Qualifications
        • At least 3 years experience in one or more of the following specific areas (the total of the two must equal 3 years at least)
          • Membrane manufacturing operations (manufacturing or engineering)
          • Biogas plant operations
          • Advanced degree in Engineering
          • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9000 or similar quality system
