Overview A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business, such as client data, reference data, product data, securities and pricing data, transactions and holdings, and index data. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset & Wealth Management Operations division, within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firmwide CDO to analyze data, ensure data governance and data quality standards are in place, look for efficiencies in business processes and associated market and reference data costs, and work with our technology partners to implement solutions. The Executive Director Role will be responsible to define the strategy to re-engineer the data flows currently managed on the PBDS platform and will be the Program lead.. The PBDS platform supports the Wealth Management Business across many poorly architected diverse Business functions (Brokerage, intraday position keeping, and trading restriction. Instrument and account reference data, regulatory reporting, credit, tax, positon keeping). The PBDS platform has evolved overtime into a monolithic platform that now needs to be restructured into a more component based architecture fully integrated within the WM end to end target state architecture vision. The PBDS application currently has 157 underlying databases, over 300 consuming applications and has shown to be a key processing risk area for our Business. The Executive Director will actively partner with Data Technology, Wealth Management Data technology leadership team and Wealth Management Operations to document the current state data flows ad Business processes based around the PBDS platform. They will lead the effort to define the future state process and technology architecture for each activity and associated data set supported by the platform. The Executive Director will lead the Business prioritization and the associated multiyear off boarding program across each of the subscribing and consuming applications managing the multiple dependencies with other Business initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities * Understand and document the data flows and processes reliant upon the PBDS platform * Define the target state data architecture for the data / processes reliant upon PBDS * Partner across the Wealth Management CT0's to agree an approach to decommission the PBDS platform and align data and functionality to the target state data architecture following our Firmwide data management principles. * Map out the transition path to target state taking into account other project dependencies * Partner with Operations to realign operating models, roles and responsibilities and procedures as required * Project manage the delivery of the transition program to the target state architecture * Chair the Executive Steering committee for this program and effectively escalate issues and design decisions. Key Relationships * Chief Data Officer * Chief Information Architect * Technology Leads and teams * Operations partners and teams * Line of Business participants * Data Domain Executives * Data Domain Stewards * Extended Technology partners and teams * Finance, Risk & Compliance partners and teams Qualifications - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a major financialservices organization, with data or project management experience - 3 - 5 years in a senior leadership role with evidence ofsignificant program delivery - Deep knowledge of data domains (Inc. Securities, Party & Product data needed by the wealth management organization. - Strong Knowledge of best practices for Business RequirementsDocuments (BRD's) - Knowledge to translate requirements into data modelling,adhering to firm-wide architectural standards, such as logical to physical datamodelling - Thorough understanding of the financial services industryand businesses (e.g., wealth management, retail, wholesale well as operationsand technology functions) - Awareness of data management practices, business andtechnology issues related to management of enterprise information assets andapproaches related to data quality - Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance, ComputerScience, MIS, or Information Management or equivalentDesired Skills - Strong personal and professional integrity, and strong workethics - Results orientated, willingness to commit to delivery andtake charge - Ability to manage relationships across all Asset Managementfunctions (business, operations, technology, finance) - Ability to develop cooperative and constructive workingrelationships - Collaborative team player orientation towards workrelationships, strong culture awareness - Strong analytical skills - Strong project / program management skills - Ability to break down complex problems and projects intomanageable pieces - Ability to get to the heart of the problem and makesuggestions for resolution - Highly skilled in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel - Highly skilled in project management tools (e.g., MSProject) - Experienced in creating presentations for senior managementJPMorgan Chase is an equal opportunity and affirmativeaction employer M/F/Disability/Veteran.
