Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician sought for ongoing position in Newark, Delaware, to assist pharmacists in providing timely and efficient pharmaceutical care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Fill patient prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling and packaging for pharmacist verification.
  
• Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care, making medication credit and charge adjustments, and processing new orders.
  
• Obtain patient demographic and insurance information, review patient charts, and research insurance rejections.
  
• Communicate effectively with case managers, nurses, providers, and patients, and provide necessary information regarding patient drug orders.
  
• Orient and train new pharmacy personnel.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB required.
    
  • At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
    
  • Knowledge of generic and trade names of formulary drugs.
    
  • Ability to type and perform basic math calculations.
