Registered Nurse (RN) - 5B Medical Telemetry FT - Day Shift (Hours: 7a-7p) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines Newark, DE Christiana Care Hospital in Newark 5B Medical Unit is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN). Unit5B is a 40-bed Medical Unit with Telemetry, which provides scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis. The area is designed to accommodate patients who need inpatient care for a variety of treatments, diagnosis/testing including but not limited to COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis.The patient population cared for includes adult and geriatric patients. The conditions of patients cared for in this area can be described as fair and serious. The patients are received/transferred/admitted from home, the emergency department, and physician's offices as well as from other units within the hospital setting.

    • DE RN License or a Compact RN License.
    • BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
    • At least one year of experience as an RN.
    • RN with experience in inpatient acute care is preferred.
