Position Overview: ChristianaCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead our Specialty Pharmacy operations. This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and subject matter expertise in all aspects of specialty pharmacy services. Key Responsibilities: Supervise a team of Pharmacy Technicians (I, II, III) and Access Coordinators to ensure smooth daily operations Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for new pharmacy caregivers Manage performance evaluations and quarterly check-ins for assigned staff Enforce departmental policies, including time and attendance, PPE usage, and HR procedures Create staffing schedules and maintain timecards Step in to perform technician and coordinator duties during staffing shortages Oversee quality and process improvement initiatives aligned with URAC and ACHC accreditation standards Monitor prescribing trends and medication pipelines to identify opportunities for contract enhancements or limited distribution drug access Support pharmacy students and residents under pharmacist supervision Participate in program development, policy review, and performance improvement initiatives Foster a Culture of Responsibility and maintain compliance with safety protocols Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support effective communication and planning Qualifications: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required Minimum 3 years of specialty pharmacy experience Previous supervisory experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Why ChristianaCare? Hourly Pay Range: $25.52 - $38.28 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
