Job Description Assistant Nurse Manager - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Full Time 80 hrs/pay Shifts: 8-hour or 10-hour Day/Evening shifts with some Night shifts as well. Newark, DE ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within our Women’s & Children’s Service Line at Christiana Hospital. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager not only assist in the clinical and administrative aspect of the department but will also work collaboratively with other units to ensure quality care for our patients. Responsibilities: - Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed. - Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. - Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors. - Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff. - Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. - Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff. - Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements. Annual Compensation Range $110,177.60 - $176,280.00 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
