Job Description:
ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 4C
Stepdown Unit Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a vital part of
our healthcare family, you will provide high-level care within our
state-of-the-art stepdown unit in Delaware. You will be
instrumental in helping patients transition from intensive care to
standard inpatient care, ensuring they receive the best possible
support through their recovery process. This role requires a blend
of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a
commitment to ChristianaCare’s values of love and excellence. You
will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to tailor
care plans to individual patient needs and ensure that
ChristianaCare’s high standards of care are maintained throughout
every stage of patient recovery. Assess, plan, and implement
patient care plans in a stepdown unit setting. Monitor patient
health and progress post-ICU, adjusting treatment plans as
necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to
ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their
families about condition, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Maintain patient health records and report on patient status to
healthcare team. Ensure adherence to all hospital and departmental
policies and healthcare regulations. Strong clinical skills in a
stepdown or ICU setting Proficiency in using healthcare software
and systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Capacity to make critical decisions under pressure Ability to
manage time effectively and handle a high volume of patient care

Delaware Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
