Job Description:
ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian I to
join our Acute Care team. As a non-profit health system focused on
improving health outcomes, ChristianaCare provides a range of
services that include advanced, specialty, and primary care, in a
supportive and collaborative environment. In this role, you will be
responsible for delivering nutritional care to our patients in an
acute setting, assessing their dietary needs, and formulating
nutritional plans to aid in their recovery and overall health
improvement. This opportunity allows you to work closely with a
multidisciplinary team dedicated to high-quality patient care.
Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health
plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide
nutritional counseling. Consult with physicians and healthcare
personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of
patients. Monitor patient progress and adjust their nutritional
plans as needed. Educate patients and their families on nutritional
principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food
selection and preparation. Document patient care and progress on
their nutritional regimen, maintaining accurate and up-to-date
records. Expert knowledge of clinical nutrition, especially in an
acute care setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff. Ability
to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team. Proficiency in dietary assessment software and patient care
management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
(RDN) credential. Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of
Delaware.
