Registered Nurse (RN) - Heart Failure Unit Full-Time - Day/Midnight 12-hour shifts Hours: 7A-7P & 7P-7A Weekends and holidays as required. Newark, DE The Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital is a 36 bed unit. There are 12 beds for post op open heart patients. These patients are stepdown level of care, some with chest tubes/drains, large bore central line catheters, and external cardiac pacing wires. These patients are closely monitored and rounded on daily by the cardiac surgeon and the multidisciplinary team. Education & Requirements: BSN preferred Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse required Previous stepdown experience preferred Previous critical care experience preferred BLS required; ACLS preferred Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
