Job Description:
The JPMorgan Checkout service engineering teams are focused on
bringing innovative, value-added services to life for our Merchant
partners. We are looking for an experienced software engineering
lead to join our team in building these solutions on our fully
cloud-native solution in AWS. Product and feature development is in
a fast-paced, engineer-focused, agile environment. As an
experienced Software Engineer, your mission is to help lead our
teams of innovators and technologists toward creating modern
solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Deep knowledge of
design, development, problem solving, testing and integrating
products is critical to the success of this function and the person
in this role. Experience in various technology delivery concepts
including Domain Driven Design, API oriented development,
microservice and event based architectures and automation are key.
You will lead teams in building cloud based solutions leveraging
modern patterns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track
record of providing technical leadership in software development
across Java and cloud based technologies in an agile product
delivery model with a focus on technology modernization, people
leadership, and area product relationship responsibility. The
candidate should have excellent communications skills, ability to
influence, a product-based mindset and be able to build strong
relationships with internal teams and senior leaders.
Responsibilities: A strong technical focus on \"building the right
thing in the right way\" to enable high quality solutions that meet
customers' needs. Key partner to the Area Product Owner, they will
help improve the effectiveness of the Engineering teams through
coaching, mentoring and resolution of impediments. Play a pivotal
and leadership role in the technical delivery of feature teams
Delivery and Technical oversight - guidance, reviews, and
modernization Partner with leadership team for driving
modernization initiatives Partner with Risk for Risk / Audit
requirements as required Provide analysis and estimation of future
work impacting our teams Provide technical oversight to scrum
masters/project managers during implementation and enhancement
sprint cycles Mentor team members to progress their technical and
professional skills Build and maintain relationships with internal
(business and technology team members) and third party partners
Triage technical issues and lead teams toward solving problems
Deeply engaged in design and code reviews for the development teams
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities,
including: 10+ years of experience in developing enterprise
solutions using Java & J2EE stack 2-3 years AWS engineering
experience Building solutions leveraging: AWS Lambda, Dynamo DB,
Kinesis, EKS, SQS, KMS Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
or Cloud Formation 5-7 years of experience in enterprise
architecture and software design Proficient in designing and
implementing highly-available, event-based systems leveraging
micro-service based architectures Hand-on experience with CI/CD &
DevOps best practices Experience with BDD test automation
frameworks like Cucumber & Karate Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Good problem solving skills and ability to
develop a strategy and deliver features as planned Strong
organizational, management, and people development skills. Ability
to see big picture and attention to detail. Software Delivery in
