Job Description:
System Freight, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Professional Driver to join our team, serving to enhance our
direct-to-store delivery capabilities and fleet management
solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the
efficient and safe transport of goods across the Northeastern
United States, reflecting our commitment to timely service and
customer satisfaction. Safely operate and maintain transportation
vehicles with a focus on efficiency and safety. Follow routes and
schedules as assigned by logistics management. Load, handle, and
unload goods in a secure manner, ensuring no damage to freight.
Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers to
ensure accuracy. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle
service and repair statuses, adhering to federal and state
regulations. Utilize onboard technology for daily operations
including navigation and freight tracking. Communicate effectively
with dispatch and operations personnel to convey delays, unforeseen
circumstances, or any immediate operational feedback. Commit to
adhering to all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving
record. Proficiency in operating GPS and other navigation systems.
Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to
operate heavy and light vehicles. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
and safety best practices. Excellent physical fitness and strength,
