Job Description:

The Global Technology Finance & Business Management ("GT F&BM") organization is responsible for supporting and enabling the strategic and financial objectives of the Global Technology business, while ensuring a sound control environment.

The teams provide CFO, P&A and Business Management services to their respective function heads and organizations in Enterprise Technology, which include Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI), Corporate Technology (CT), Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC), Chief Technology Office (CTO), Firmwide Data Management (FDM) and Global Technology Administration (GTA), as well as the four Line of Business Technology functions.

The group's responsibilities include investment portfolio governance, financial planning & analysis, product costing strategy and billing, reporting (both internal & client facing/allocation reports), workforce management (headcount & location strategy), business management and strategy support.

Specifically within GT F&BM, the GT Business Management team supports the Global Technology organization through 5 main service offerings:

  • Governance - Ensures appropriate governance across GT to drive visibility and achieve desired outcomes; provides support for regulatory engagements and internal oversight activities
  • xGT Collaboration & Coordination - Drives consistency in messaging to ensure strategic alignment across GT; collaborates and coordinates across Technology to drive key outcomes in alignment with GT goals
  • Executive Reporting & Engagement - Synthesizes & develop executive messages in alignment with GT goals to demonstrate progress and drive key discussion / decisions
  • Planning & Special Projects - Targeted, time bound efforts focused on problem solving and accelerating design
  • Office of the CIO - Ensures readiness and responsiveness to specific requests from Global CIO

This role specifically supports the Governance and xGT Collaboration & Coordination service offerings, with partnership and cross-over into the other service offerings as needed. Our team is responsible for enabling the "right" conversations to happen with the "right" participants at the "right" time to drive the "right" outcomes & decisions. We do this successfully by planning ahead, connecting people together and anticipating & addressing friction points and questions.

  • Governance - The "governance" function focuses on ensuring there is appropriate visibility & engagement across the senior Technology leaders to achieve shared outcomes & organizational goals as well as providing support for regulatory engagements and internal oversight activities. Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Pre-, during- and post- activities in support of regularly scheduled GT governance forums (GTL, GTE, GTOC) such as identifying relevant content & topics, engaging & scheduling participants, ensuring materials support topics effectively & efficiently, supporting facilitation of forums, and managing follow-on activities & updates
  • Management and resolution of action items resulting from these governance forums
  • Partnering with internal oversight teams (Audit, Compliance, Risk, Resiliency) to prepare for, respond to and evidence both internal & external regulatory requests

  • xGT Collaboration & Coordination - Our collaboration & coordination role works across various partners and stakeholders to drive consistency and transparency in the messages driven across GT from the center as well as provides a regular channel for feedback to come back in. Making the investment to ensure all partners are on the same page enables more efficient and more effective alignment of deliverables & outcomes with GT strategic goals. Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Designing & developing content in support of senior leadership events (Senior leader conferences, OC offsites)
  • Supporting the agenda & content development for GT Town halls
  • Planning content/topics and engaging participants for monthly GT extended leadership team
  • Coordinating regular leadership visits with Global Tech Centers
  • Proactively planning, communicating, and maintaining upcoming events & activities to stakeholders
  • Facilitating discussions across various levels and types of stakeholders

  • Additional opportunities and deliverables may include activities such as:
  • Identifying and resolving issues
  • Leading and/or supporting special projects
  • Identifying and implementing improvements & efficiencies
  • Responding to and resolving or redirecting specific requests

You should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and enjoy handling multiple moving parts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Technology and Financial Services with at least a conversational understanding of key technologies
  • Communication & listening skills - must possess excellent written & verbal communications skills as well as strong listening skills; ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Project & time management skills - must be organized and able to successfully manage multiple priorities and deliverables and work effectively under pressure
  • Technical skills - must have intermediate+ skills for: SharePoint, MS Excel, MS PPT, Adobe Acrobat
  • Stakeholder engagement - must be comfortable working closely & communicating with partners and subject matter experts at all levels (CIOs to EAs) to understand and syndicate key messages & content
  • Teamwork skills - strong team player and passionate about partnering with and working closely as well as collaboratively with other team members to ensure coverage
  • Business acumen - must be able to 'connect the dots' across people, process & platforms
  • Problem solving & analysis - must have experience & ability to understand problems, scope & define problems, analyze root causes, and solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a positive 'can-do' attitude. Should be able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed and culturally diverse team
