Job Description:

You could be the one who changes everything for our 26 million members as a clinical professional on our Medical Management/Health Services team. Position Purpose: Ensure compliance with cultural, linguistic, and disability access regulatory requirements of Medicaid managed care in language assistance service provision, reasonable accommodations, staff and provider training, outcome evaluation, reporting, compliance monitoring, and identifying and addressing health care disparities. Develop, implement, and evaluate a language assistance compliance monitoring system for the Plan and provider network, including hospitals and pharmacies, in accordance with contract requirements and regulations.
Ensure the delivery of language and disability access services, including processing of translation requests and evaluation of externally translated materials from vendors.
Promote language assistance and disability access services to providers and members through provider and member communications.
Conduct necessary research, data analysis, and completion of regulatory reports.
Implement and evaluate training programs, tools, and resources for staff and provider networks.
Research relevant member grievances and provider appeals.
Review written member informing materials for cultural appropriateness and accessibility. Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Health Sciences, Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree in related field preferred. 3+ years of experience addressing the needs of a culturally and disability-diverse population. Experience with managed care, governmental programs and provider monitoring/oversight preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
American Translators Association Certification preferred.
