Job Description:

Behavior TechnicianBehavior Technicians provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format to a child with autism in the home setting. We will provide all the necessary training you will need to start as a Behavior Technician. Our training program provides you with the tools you need to be successful as you learn to apply and implement behavior analytical techniques under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.What you'll do:

  • Work 1:1 with a child with autism by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help, and social and play skills under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Provide In-home and in Clinic Therapy
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time
  • Use the appropriate/prescribed ratio of reinforcement
  • Maintain accurate records of client performance/progress via data collection and/or clinical notes through an online and paper data collection system
  • Manage any inappropriate behaviors that occur
  • Keep child motivated to learn through preference assessments
  • Communicate confidentially and professionally
  • Respond appropriately to feedback and/or correction from BCBA or Parents
  • Report concerns directly and promptly to your supervising BCBA
  • Toilet training and diaper changing may be requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for this position:
    • Working knowledge of basic technology: windows operating systems, iOS, word, excel, PowerPoint, email, tablets and computers
    • Ability to communicate effectively with others
    • Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position
    • Have a basic knowledge of autismMinimum Qualifications for this position:
      • Prior Experience as a Behavior Technician, Special Education teacher or in a Daycare setting Strongly Preferred
      • Must have availability from 8:30am-6pm on weekdays
      • 18 years of age
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Must have reliable Transportation and good driving record
      • Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely
      • Be able to pass a criminal background check, child abuse screening and drug screening
      • Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets.Job Type: Part-timePay: From $18.00 per hourSchedule:
