Job Description:

PPT Consulting, a regional consulting firm specializing in People, Process and Technology solutions, is seeking a qualified SAP PaPM Project Manager for a contract opportunity with a global manufacturing client. The SAP PaPM Consultant will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate the PaPM tool into our clients' business environment to achieve business results. The consultant will work with clients and team members to implement PaPM as part of a broader SAP S/4HANA implementation.
Responsibilities will include, although not limited to, the following:

  • Provide expertise in SAP PaPM to clients specifically in the life sciences and chemical manufacturing industries with strong expertise in creating and maintaining PaPM models and environments
  • Configure and deploy modern SAP Analytics/Reporting offerings, requiring both functional and technical expertise to develop SAP PaPM solutions and best address our customers' needs.
  • Work directly with customers for hands-on delivery, as well as strategic insights on how to run programs/projects efficiently from blueprint to go-live.
  • Leverage Analytics, Reporting and Development expertise, as well as SAP techno-functional skills and experience and industry knowledge to identify complex client issues and build long-term business relationships
  • Intelligently guide customers through their financial processes and best practices related to account reconciliations and mass journal posting templates
  • Achieve key business outcomes while adhering to project goals and deadlines
  • Lead the Business Process and Solution Architecture design sessions;
  • Create functional specifications for development requirements Lead and manage team(s) where relevant;
  • Understand the end-goals and delegate tasks to successfully meet deliverables on time & within scope
  • Design and document the required configurations for the SAP PaPM solution(s) per the blueprint, including documenting test results, and support go-live efforts
  • Recommend best practices for configuring SAP PaPM considering the overall architecture to achieve integration, high performance and stability
  • Work closely with end users to design the proper SAP PaPM solution(s) to support defined business processes and business requirements
  • Actively participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions to enable end users to understand SAP PaPM
  • Provide support for customers to include problem identification, reporting, tracking analysis and resolution
  • Provide continuous feedback on project status and offer constructive options to ensure project continues to meet original expectations

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
    • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive, relevant consulting experience or extensive corporate experience
    • Experience in SAP full life-cycle implementations, preferably with PaPM, SAP FS-er, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or BPC
    • Technical and functional expertise in SAP applications / modules, preferably in SAP PaPM, SAC, BW, HANA, BPC, PCM, COPA or S/4
    • Strong understanding of financial budgeting and planning business processes
    • Good understanding of allocation and profitability
    • Experience implementing and understanding data model solutions preferred
    • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred but not required
    • Proven track record in SAP delivery
    • Technical expertise in SAP, preferably knowledge of HANA, SQL and BW modelling
    • Ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable in a changing work environment
    • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the passion and drive to be part of a continuously growing business
    • A conceptual thinker with the professional consulting skills to create compelling solutions, taking into account business objectives as well as appropriate regulatory and technical requirements
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
    • Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen combined with the professional consulting skills necessary to create solutions that take into account business objectives and financial requirements
    • Capability to work well under pressure, in particular under cost and time constraints
    • Dedication to exceptional work quality and demonstrated ethics and integrity in all actions
    • The ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate and achieve results is critical
