All sites are ISO 13485:2016 certified, and the manufacturing site in Delaware is FDA, and MHRA registered for the manufacture and export of class I IHC reagents and kits.SDIX is looking for a Biotechnician or Biotechnician I, Full Time, to join our team in Newark, DE. This position will support our Custom Critical Reagent working groups. Summary:Support manufacturing aspects of SDIX's products by executing protocols and utilizing basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, production equipment, and computer software. Maintain the work area properly through organization and procurement of supplies, routine maintenance of equipment, organization and maintenance of reagents, and general laboratory hygiene. Verify and ensure proper processes and procedures are followed using SOPs. Biotechnician perform basic laboratory functions under direct supervision or according to specific procedures and directions.Biotechnician I supports product manufacturing by executing protocols, using basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, laboratory equipment, and computer software.Responsibilities and Duties:Biotechnician Perform a variety of basic laboratory techniques. Maintain accurate and current documentation using various SOPs in a GMP environment. Communicate results both verbally and in writing with peers and supervisors. Maintain and organize laboratory areas. Order supplies as required to maintain efficient workflow. Perform additional job duties necessary within Manufacturing areas as assigned. Recognizes variances in processes, procedures, and results and reports them to the supervisor.Biotechnician IIn addition to the responsibilities required of a Biotechnician: Recognizes variances in processes, procedures, and results and takes the initiative to resolve them.Work Environment / Other Requirements:Our work environment varies significantly from task to task. Candidate must be able to lift or move 35 pounds and travel throughout a work environment of varied temperatures and humidity, grasp and hold small objects, have a full range of motion, and wear personal protective devices. This position may expose the employee to physical, chemical, or biological hazards such as but not limited to fumes, airborne particles, biohazards, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Requirements: Qualifications:Biotechnician Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or related science field, or HS diploma with related work experience Basic computer proficiency Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Basic understanding of lab operations Proficiency with basic lab equipment Familiarity with standard operating procedures (optional)Biotechnician IIn addition to the qualifications required of a Biotechnician: Bachelor in biology, chemistry, or a related field such as medical laboratory, or an Associate degree with two to three years equivalent industry experience 0 to 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment Good written and verbal skills Proficient with laboratory equipment and procedures required for the specific job (balance, pH meter, sterile technique, dilution plating, etc.) Familiarity with standard operating procedures Familiar with QSR, cGMP, and ISO regulations and guidelines (optional)
