We are searching for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to work full time flex, 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. In addition, the MLS will rotate between the Newark and Wilmington laboratories, with most time spent in the Newark lab. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform/support Point of Care Testing (POCT) test procedures on the laboratory approved POCT test menu and associated activities to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. In addition, you will support acute hospital and ambulatory POCT activities of non-laboratorians across the system, as needed. Responsibilities: Accurately performs all test procedures as listed in the procedure manual. Performs and records all scheduled instrument preventative maintenance procedures. Follows established quality control procedures, documenting corrective action if necessary. Adheres to all turnaround times, documents calls as necessary, verifies critical values and specimen identification. Verifies completion of all stat results and all routine results in a timely manner. Records workload and other statistics into computer system as necessary. Hourly Pay Range: $29.22 - $43.83 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
