Job Description:

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our vibrant healthcare community. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the professional growth and development of registered nurses and other healthcare personnel at ChristianaCare. This position plays a pivotal role in conducting needs assessments, developing training programs, and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs to enhance clinical competence and professional development. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of enhancing health by providing high-quality, safe, and accessible medical services. Assess educational needs and skill gaps of nursing staff and healthcare personnel. Design, implement, and evaluate professional development programs to meet clinical requirements and improve patient care outcomes. Provide mentorship and coaching to staff to enhance professional growth. Stay abreast of the latest medical education technologies and methodologies to incorporate best practices into training modules. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop competency standards and policies. Lead workshops, seminars, and other training sessions to facilitate continual healthcare education. Develop and oversee the administration of certification programs for specializations within nursing. Strong knowledge of clinical practices and theories Proficient in adult learning principles and educational methodology Ability to analyze complex information and develop comprehensive training Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Delaware Certification in Nursing Professional Development (CNPDC) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
