Job Description:

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist II to join our dynamic Psychosocial Oncology team. As a valued member of our non-profit health system, you will provide essential mental health services focusing on patients dealing with cancer. This hybrid role balances remote sessions and in-person care at our facilities across Delaware, incorporating a holistic approach tailored to the unique psychosocial needs of oncology patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team aiming to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that aligns with our mission of improving health outcomes. Conduct psychological assessments and provide evidence-based therapy to oncology patients. Develop and implement treatment plans that address emotional, social, and behavioral needs of patients. Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and social workers to integrate psychological care with medical treatment. Provide crisis intervention as necessary. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress. Maintain comprehensive patient records and comply with privacy regulations. Engage in continuous education to stay updated on the latest in psychosocial oncology care. Strong clinical skills in psychotherapy and assessment. Ability to tailor clinical approaches to individual patient needs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic health record systems. Capacity to work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Certification in Psychosocial Oncology is preferred but not required.
