Logistics Lead 6 month contract Up to 54 an hour Wilmington, DE Job Description Essential requirements: --- Experience in logistics and the distribution of products form a multi plan / multi distribution centre. --- Proven analytic skills --- Good innovative problem solving, and investigation skills coupled with the ability to identify and communicate key issues for resolution --- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills --- Good understanding of Good Distribution Practices, Safety, Health & Environment and Standard Operating Procedures --- Experience in assessing risk in transportation lanes Typical Accountabilities --- Establishes new transportation lanes with Freight Forwarders and conducts Route Risk Assessments (RRA) to ensure appropriate temperature and security controls are employed. --- Reviews and maintains RRA's per established processes. --- Monitor and analyze temperature data to proactively identify changes and trends. --- Function as the Single Point of Contact for all temperature failures and work with Quality, Freight Management Team, Distribution teams, Supply sites and with LSPs to investigate all excursions, to allow appropriate & rapid product expedition, and create CAPAs to prevent reoccurrences. --- Work with the PCT CoE to identify systemic network / system failure and to support the development of successful solutions to ensure sustainable PCT. --- Process and investigate supply and logistics (S&L) and temperature excursion (TE) complaints --- Works with Supply Sites and Logistic Service Providers (LSP) to identify root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventative action (CAPA) --- Manages workload to ensure timely resolution of complaints Typical Accountabilities (per AZ framework and regulatory expectations) --- Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to your role. Complete all required training on the AZ Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards on time. Report potential issues of non-compliance. --- Ensure and monitor compliance by team members and third parties by (a) positively reinforcing the Code of Conduct and all relevant AstraZeneca Policies and Standards, (b) ensuring completion of all required training, (c) fostering a culture of openness in which employees are comfortable raising questions or concerns, and (d) immediately addressing and reporting, as appropriate, instances of non-compliance. Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential --- A minimum of 3 years prior experience is required in the logistics area as well as in the distribution of products from a multi-plant/multi-distribution centre environment --- Proven analytic skills --- Good innovative problem solving/investigational skills --- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player, with the ability to identify and communicate key issues for resolution --- Sound understanding of Good Distribution Practices (3yrs experience) Safety, Health and Environment and Standard Operating Procedures --- Experience in assessing risk in transportation lanes --- Fluent in English --- Higher education qualification Desirable --- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Management Science or other relevant discipline --- Extensive experience in technical support and quality management --- Understanding of transport qualification, process validation, cold chain logistics industry standards, and validation compliance --- Pharmaceutical/Bio pharmaceutical experience --- Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry --- Experience in Business Process Management processes Why Kelly -- ?
